The 14th Annual Fred Dillow Memorial will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Portsmouth Raceway Park. Fred was a late model driver who raced at dirt tracks in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Pennsylvania until 1989. In 1990, he lost a two-year bout with Leukemia and in 1995 the 1st Annual Fred Dillow Memorial race was held in his memory. Fred was well-liked and respected by race fans and drivers and the idea of having a race in his memory was initiated by Delmas Conley and Gary Cheek 11 years ago. Bonus money will randomly be distributed throughout the field in all divisions. |
