The 13th Annual Fred Dillow Memorial was held Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Portsmouth Raceway Park.  Fred was a late model driver who raced at dirt tracks in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Pennsylvania until 1989.  In 1990, he lost a two-year bout with Leukemia and in 1995 the 1st Annual Fred Dillow Memorial race was held in his memory.  Fred was well-liked and respected by race fans and drivers and the idea of having a race in his memory was initiated by Delmas Conley and Gary Cheek 11 years ago.

EDDIE CARRIER, JR. WINS 13th ANNUAL FRED DILLOW MEMORIAL!!! Talk about a nail biter!  It came down to the wire in the late model feature.  Eddie Carrier passed Audit Swartz with 3 laps to go and took the win!  Congratulations to Eddie and his crew!  That's a three-peat for Eddie as he won the Dillow Memorial in 2003, 2006, & 2007! This year's trophy presenters were Fred's grandchildren.  5 year old Brayden and 4 year old Addison!

Thank You! As many of you know, Edna Dillow (Fred's widow), recently had a house fire and lost everything,  including all of Fred's racing trophies, pictures, etc.  Most importantly, her and her two grandchildren got out of the house safely.  The Dillow Family would like to express their sincere thanks to those of you who have called to check on her or who have helped in any way.  A special big thank you goes out to PRP staff, fans and drivers!  YOU ARE THE BEST!
