Fred Dillow was a late model driver who raced at dirt tracks in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Pennsylvania until 1989. In 1990, he lost a two-year bout with Leukemia and in 1995 the 1st Annual Fred Dillow Memorial race was held in his memory. Fred was well-liked and respected by race fans and drivers and the idea of having a race in his memory was initiated by Delmas Conley and Gary Cheek. Bonus money will randomly be distributed throughout the field in all divisions. |

Josh McGuire turned fast time and went on to win the 14th Annual Fred Dillow Memorial August 16, 2008 at Portsmouth Raceway Park. RJ Conley finished 2nd, Eddie Carrier, Jr. 3rd, Jackie Boggs 4th and finishing up the top 5 was Kenny Christy. 27 late models, 35 modifieds, 13 limited late models and a strong field of Bombers were on hand, as well as a great crowd of race fans! Thanks to the drivers, fans, sponsors and PRP for making this another great tribute to the late Fred Dillow. Doug Adkins won the Modified Feature, John Melvin took the top spot in the Limited Late Model Division and Joe McGinnis won the Bomber Feature. |
